Priti Patel, the Exchequer Secretary to the Treasury, visited Personalise, an embroidery and bespoke printing business in the heart of Witham.
This family-run business is currently celebrating its 10 year anniversary and in that time has established a number of large contracts including school uniforms for local primary and secondary schools.
Priti, who is also Conservative Party parliamentary candidate for Witham, said: 'Having heard so much about Personalise, it was great to finally visit this ever-growing business. It was fantastic to see their new machines and equipment in action and hear how well they are doing and their ideas for future business plans.
'I was pleased to discuss the Conservative Party policies of continuing help and support for small businesses through our long-term economic plan. It is our small- and medium-sized businesses like Personalise who really benefit from cuts to national insurance contributions, the abolition of red tape cost measures imposes by the last Labour Government and our reforms to reduce the burden of business rates.
Personalise is a real asset to Witham high street and I wish them all the best for the future and look forward to visiting them again soon.'
Louis, owner of Personalise, said: 'It was lovely to see Priti and tell her about our business and aspirations for the future. She was genuinely interested and we appreciate that she took the time out to visit us.'
