Right before Christmas, the Labour Government announced it was minded to cancel the planned Lodge Farm Primary School in Witham.
The school was proposed as part of the Redrow housing development to provide up to 420 places for local children.
Conservative-run Essex County and Braintree District councils worked to secure funds from the housing developer to support the building of this new school, which are now in jeopardy of being lost if the Labour Government proceeds with its intentions to cancel the project.
This survey gathers residents’ response on the cancellation, its impact on local families, and will support your local representatives in objecting to this decision ahead of the Department for Education’s 30th January 2026 deadline.
